Lights, Camera, Salsa

Running a growing restaurant brand comes with one big challenge:

COO Alex and designer Loïs filming training instruction videos inside a Salsa Shop kitchen, capturing food preparation and workflow for staff training.

How do you keep the heart of the place alive when your team keeps expanding?

This month, our COO Alex and designer Loïs took a camera into the kitchens to help answer that.

Setting the team up to win

Good hospitality starts behind the scenes. If your team feels confident, supported, and clear on how things work, guests feel it too.

That’s why we’re creating new training videos. Real instruction filmed on the floor, not stiff manuals no one touches.

How to move fast without losing quality. How the line flows. How to build food with purpose.

More than “how to do it,” it’s “how to feel part of it.”

The goal is simple: make it easier for new and existing team members to succeed, from their first shift to their hundredth.

Built from real feedback

There’s a difference between being corporate smart and business smart.

Corporate smart means deciding from far away.

Business smart means listening to the people doing the work.

So these videos aren’t final versions. They’ll shift as our store teams tell us what works and what doesn’t. They live in a loop: teach → listen → improve.

Because the best systems aren’t imposed, they’re shaped by the people who use them every day.

Why it matters and what’s next

Better tools create better teams. Better teams create better experiences.

This project is the first step in building training that grows with us: clearer, sharper, and more human.

More videos are coming. More feedback. More ways to support the people who make Salsa Shop… Salsa Shop.

When our teams thrive, everything else follows.
