Haarlem Notices
One thing stood out straight away: Haarlem notices.
Compared to Amsterdam, it's a smaller city, and that makes the excitement feel different. Throughout opening day, people kept slowing down to peek inside, asking what was going on or walking back after passing the restaurant because they wanted to have a look.
The same happened online. The content leading up to our opening reached far beyond our own audience, and seeing so many people from Haarlem talking about Salsa Shop before we even opened our doors was something special.
A Great Addition to the Neighbourhood
One comment we've heard several times already is that Haarlem could use more fresh, healthy grab-and-go options.
Hearing that from the people who live and work here is probably the best feedback we could ask for. It's exactly what we hope to bring to the city: fresh Mexican-inspired food that's easy to grab for lunch, dinner or anything in between.
But this is only the beginning.
Alongside the restaurant, we're looking forward to becoming part of Haarlem's community through events, collaborations and initiatives beyond our four walls. Our first Haarlem Run Club with HRLM Running is just around the corner, and we can't wait to meet even more of the city.
To everyone who's already stopped by, thank you for the warm welcome.
See you soon, Haarlem!
