You've probably seen the words Live Saucy around Salsa Shop. On our walls, our shirts, our Run Clubs, our events and, apparently, even permanently tattooed on two of our team members.
So yes, it might be time to explain what we actually mean by it.
Life's Better a Little Messy
Live Saucy is our way of looking at life.
Say yes to things. Try something new. Get outside. Meet people. Make a bit of a mess. Don't take yourself too seriously. And please don't spend your entire life waiting for the weekend.
It's the mindset behind a lot of what we do outside our restaurants too. It's why we organise Run Clubs through the city, bring burritos to a HYROX gym and find excuses to get people together whenever we can.
And it fits the people around Salsa Shop. They're active, social, curious and usually up for something. Food happens to be a pretty good way of bringing all of that together.
Apparently, It Sticks
The fun part about Live Saucy is that people have started making it their own.
We've seen our shirts worn long after an event ended, familiar faces return to our Run Clubs and people show up for things that have very little to do with ordering a burrito.
And then two Salsa Shop employees decided to get Live Saucy tattooed on their bodies.
We didn't ask them to.
We promise.
Maybe that's the best explanation of Live Saucy we can give. It's not a set of rules or something you're supposed to understand perfectly. It's a reminder to make life a little less serious, a little more spontaneous and, every now and then, a little saucier.
